Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable liquid crystal display device by securing adhesion strength between a glass substrate and a conductive medium, when the glass substrate and a circuit substrate which compose a liquid crystal panel are connected through the conductive medium. SOLUTION: A trench 13 is formed at a connection part between the glass substrate 3 and the conductive medium 11 by a dicing device. The trench 13 is formed at the connection part between the glass substrate 3 and the conductive medium 11 by the dicing device, after the liquid crystal panel 1 is completed. The conductive medium 11 is penetrated into the trench 13 by applying the medium 11 on the trench 13, and a connection area between the glass substrate 3 and the conductive medium 11 is increased. 【課題】液晶パネルを構成するガラス基板と回路基板の間を導電媒体で接続を取る際に、ガラス基板と導電媒体との接着強度を確保し信頼性の高い液晶表示装置を提供する。 【解決手段】ガラス基板3の導電媒体11との接続部分に、ダイシング装置にて溝13を形成した構成である。この溝13は液晶パネル1が完成した後、ダイシング装置にてガラス基板3の導電媒体11との接続部分に形成する。この溝13上に導電媒体11を塗布することにより、溝13の内部まで導電媒体11が入り込み、ガラス基板3と導電媒体11との接着面積が増加し、結果的に導電媒体11とガラス基板3との接着強度を向上させる事が出来る。 【選択図】図1
